My Darling:

I received your letter written Sunday and finished Monday afternoon at Bath this noon. I wonder if you wrote me any letters last week beside the one you wrote Saturday and which was received at Mount Morris Sunday. I did not get any letter at Honoeye Falls or Geneva. If you have mailed any letters, better send for them. I will get mail in Binghamton and Elmira.

I was glad to get your good letter. I see you are the one to get invited over convention this year. If we don't get a bid, we can stay at home and save our strength. We have two orders today, one for $40 and one for $16. The latter is for Greeting. We now lack three! [for the contest]

This has been one awful day for driving. The rain has frozen on the roads and they are some slippery. Have driven about 50 miles today. It has remained steady all day long and it is now at it (nine p.m.) You can tell your folks that if this weather continues, I am not going anywhere near Syracuse. But then it will clear up, don't you think so? Guess you had better go with me. I don't like to go alone. Does Frank want to go?

We'll be glad to see you at end of week. We had better plan to have deacons and trustees at our home for December.

Love unmeasured,

Jack

If you're new to this project, please consider going to our site and catching up with a few letters from the 1900-1910 era. The letters only take 3-5 minutes to read and you'll find the characters more fully develop if you read the letters chronologically.

John has excellent handwriting. However, in some instances, I cant decipher it. If I can't, I simply mark the spot with "xxx"s to signify thank the word isn't decipherable.
