Letter Home-Elizabeth–undated

Dearest mother o’mine,

Louise and I have been thinking of you to-day and wish that you might be here. I’m happy that I can

letter from daughter Elizabeth on Sue's birthday

wear a pink carnation and hope I can for many years to come. I tried to get flowers for you yesterday but couldn’t. The thought was there anyway and I hope you have had a happy day.

I have been having a wonderful time lately. Louise will tell you about it. We just discovered it was Louise’s train time in half an hour.

Lots of love from your own.

Elizabeth

Editor's notes

This letter is undated but appears to be sent as a birthday letter to Elizabeth's mother, Sue.
